LEFT AND RIGHT EARPHONE

I've used headphone everyday for about 15 year but I just recently noticed a neat trick. I listen to books on tape every night, most of the time I've cut off all the light before putting them in my ear. I noticed a nub or dot on only one earphone. I turned the light on and noticed it was the left ear. Well I only listen on one side....the left. How cool is this. I use the type in the picture. Not all sets have this identifying "dot". For someone with poor vision I'm always looking for things to make life easier by using my sense of touch instead of relying on my vision.

TAGS FOR ORGANIZING MY HOME

Because I have low vision I like to use organization tips to help find things faster. I used stickers to tag my knitting needles. The smaller the pattern; the smaller the needle. The stickers are also used to price my handmade beaded jewelry I sell.

VELVET CLOTHS HANGERS

My new favorite items are Velvet  Cloths hangers. I hang most of my cloths so I can find them easier. I bought a pack of twenty hangers about a year ago. Last week I found tow packs on sale. One pack at an overstock store and one at TJ Max. I like the black ones so the color of the clothing stands out.  They are great for scarfs because they won't slip off. I wear thin T-shirt under my scrubs at work. They stay on the hangers too. I found a pack of 50 on Amonzon but I found 18 for $10 at TJ Max.

CALENDERS

Today I was thinking about calenders and being organized. Since I got my new phone I haven't used the calender as much. I loved the calender in my old phone. For some reason I was trying to "turn off" an alarm and "deleted" all my items on my calender in my old phone. I have a calender on my LIVE email account that I like to use. Facebook also posts birthdays for the upcoming week which is nice. I'm terrible about sending birthday cards. I'm not that organized. Years ago I had a Large Print calender my mother found. I couldn't find one the next year. If you can't find a true large print calender the school calenders usually have large fonts. I found one on sale last week at Target for under $2.
