FRIENDS

Friends. I can't say enough about them. I thought I was helping by checking on them but they are there when I truly needed them. They are there to brighten my day with a call. Keep in touch with your friends! Their lives are busy too. Just call them. God will bring people too you as you need them. He has truly blessed me.

SURROUNDINGS

Something as simple as a hand can be a BIG help. My sons and husband often grab my hand and help me with steps and curbs. I have only fallen once at church. My ankle hurt for weeks. Walking up steps is much easier than down. I do reach for the handrail too. I recommend having a handrail in your home when you have stairs. Even children need them.

ORGANIZATION

Since I'm low vision and try to be organized. As my family will say, I can never find my glasses but they are always in one of three places. By the kitchen TV, on my dresser and in my bathroom. I have a tray on my dresser in the shape of glasses. Putting them in a tray at night is the best way to know where they are. While I was at a hotel last weekend I put all of my things on one side of the sink. I was sharing a room with my sister. I use a clear make-up bag from the Container Store my sister bought me. It helps me find thing faster. Since my sister also has a clear make-up bag she said having our bags on separate sides help her know where her things were.

MUST HAVE

I just got my third and best cell phone. It's a LG Xenon. It has a touch screen but best of all the letters can be enlarged. I thought about the IPhone but the letters and numbers are larger on the LG. My other phone was ok but the numbers ran together on display so it was hard to read. I'll try to post a picture of my phone. I also set the phone to click when I press the keypad. This helps me know if I typed the number m
