CURB

When I'm out shopping or going to sporting events I have to walk over several type of surfaces. Most of the time I'm ok but I have fallen a few times. Once I missed a step going down. My family and friends always say "watch your step...." or "Do you see that curb?". This is a big help. Some friends have said they tell other people they are with to watch the step whether they are blind or not. It became a habit for them. For some reason my husband wants to go to the highest point in each state so I do hike some. Going up is fine but coming down is a problem. I'm much slower on the way down.

LAUNDRY MAT

This is a tip I read in Women's Weekly today. I wish I knew this a few weeks ago when my washing machine broke and had to go to the laundry mat for three weeks. It was a cute idea. Put magnets on the washer and dryers you are using to know which one has your cloths in them. I used a post-it note when I went the first time. Also when you go to the laundry mat the larger more expensive machines are in the front so check out which one you need before you put your money in. Don't leave your thing unattended.

MIRROR 20X

I was SO excited yesterday when I saw a 20X magnifies makeup mirror. I guess iy was made for people who wear contact and need help to put their contacts on. I need it to pluck my eyebrows with my new tweezers. The mirror was $19.99 at Bed, Bath & Beyond which is pricey but worth it to someone like me who can't see very well. Brand name is 20X Spot Mirror by Zadro model FC20X.

TWEEZERS

While on vacation I realized I had left my tweezers behind so borrowed some from my mother on-law. I loved the type she had and went to by a pair for myself. I just love them. This is by far the best I have ever used. The are by Revlon expert tweezers is on the package but they are black with silver tip which are angled. The package says tilted tip. Because I have poor vision I have trouble twee zing my eyebrows. These enable you to remove the ones I can't see with my 15X magnified hand mirror/ I bought these at Dillon/Kroger store for $4 which is a bargain. I might even remove a splinter with them.
